UPCOMING EVENTS

Captain’s Drive-In & mixed competition on Sunday 31st March From 11am
As always there is a sheet behind the bar where you can guess the length of the drive for Captain, President, Lady Captain & Lady President. It is just £1 to make all 4 guesses and the results will be given after the mixed competition with cash prizes for the winners.

Annual Duck Race
Alongside the Captain’s Drive-In will be the annual Duck Race – held in Captain’s Pond on the 1st hole.
This will be directly after the officials have driven-off on Easter Sunday 31st March
Ducks are for sale behind the bar at £1 a duck. But remember they always fly out “quackly” so get ’em while you can!

Snooker Finals
The finals of the snooker competition will also be on 31st March from early evening after the mixed competition. Come up and support the players. The Bar will be open even though it is a Sunday evening.

And last but not least it’s the long awaited return of……
RACE NIGHT
Saturday 6th April, first race is at 7.30pm after Opening Saturday competitions.
Entry on the night is free of charge (yes that’s right!)
Food will be available to purchase on the night – more details to follow on this, but it will be in the form of plate pie, chips, sandwich platters etc – anyone that knows they will want food might like to order in advance so that we can get an idea of numbers please.
ON SALE NOW: If you want to own a horse in the race then you can buy them from the bar at £5 a horse.
On the night you will be able to bet on each race or take part by being a jockey. Oh Yes, we have the blow up horse suits again!
It was a great night last time we did this 2 years ago and with the growing number of followers to our social events now we hope that this year will be even better.
